“Thank you for keeping us dancing.”

Like you, I care about Saint Paul City Ballet. I want you to know I believe in giving every performance and class I teach my all. I am passionate about ballet and every day pursue the artistry that will make every performance an exceptional experience for my audience. But I can’t make a performance happen on my own. Your support is one of the core elements that keeps this extraordinary art form alive. Your generous contributions keep me dancing and make it possible for young dancers to have future careers. The curtain goes up because of you.

Principal Artist SPCB and Instructor SPCB School

“I brought cookies.”

My contributions to Saint Paul City Ballet began with baking sweets for studio fundraisers. I wanted to help dancers like Jennifer and to support this extraordinary art form which has brought me so much joy.

When I began my support the Friends of Saint Paul City Ballet did not exist. This membership initiative was created because the costs of presenting ballet on stage and training dancers for the future far exceeds ticket sales or school tuition.

This is why your donation is so important. It is a difficult task for any non-profit organization to cover all of its program expenses. With your help, SPCB will grow in financial security. Your contributions are an important lifeline to sustaining performances and the school.

I will continue to bring cookies and I encourage you to continue to donate or to make a donation for the first time. This is our company and school and we want to see it grow so that more people in our community can experience this living art form for themselves.

Diane Masterman
President, Friends of Saint Paul City Ballet

We invite you to become a member of the Friends of Saint Paul City Ballet.

Our mission to advance ballet as an art form, develop and celebrate local talent of the highest standard, and enrich the culture of our community. The Friends is an auxilary group that believes in this mission and provides support to SPCB through fundraisers and other events and has an annual membership fee of $30.

Members stay informed about SPCB through regular communications and invitations to various events including dress rehearsals and gatherings attended by the dancers.

You’ll be part of the Saint Paul City Ballet family and help support performances that would not be possible without your gifts of talent, time and treasure.
