This original fairy tale was written and choreographed by Saint Paul author, choreographer and teacher, Wilor Bluege.

The story is a tale of a young girl's lesson about the importance of compassion, demonstrated in her relationship with a small golden bird. Wilor wrote the book, The Golden Bough, which was inspired by her "pep talks" with her younger students before they went on stage.

The one-and-one-half hour production features a combination of ballet, character dance and musical comedy. It features more than 75 dancers, ranging in age from eight to 60.
