The Golden Bough
(Full-length)
Choreography
by WIlor Bluege. Music from Alexander Glazunov, Modest Mussorgsky,
John Lanchberry and The Moiseyev Ballet Costume design by Wilor
Bluege.
This
original fairy tale was written and choreographed by Saint Paul
author, choreographer and teacher, Wilor Bluege.
The
story is a tale of a young girl's lesson about the importance
of compassion, demonstrated in her relationship with a small
golden bird. Wilor wrote the book, The Golden Bough, which was
inspired by her "pep talks" with her younger students
before they went on stage.
The
one-and-one-half hour production features a combination of ballet,
character dance and musical comedy. It features more than 75
dancers, ranging in age from eight to 60.
