The lights dim, the curtain begins to rise, you see your first glimpse of those graceful bodies in glimmering costumes. The choreography comes to life with the cue of the orchestra and you are immediately drawn into a different time and place.
Ballet is a collaborative effort of dancers, musicians, costumers, designers, and patrons. It takes the contributions of an entire artistic community and its supporters to help us accomplish our vision and create a world-class ballet organization that is integral to the cultural fabric of our capital city and beyond. Saint Paul City Ballet’s Artistic Partners, Jennifer Murry, Ted Sothern and Georgia Finnegan Amdahl are choreographers, ballet masters and répétiteurs who actively collaborate to stage excerpts from the timeless classic ballets and to produce new works and explore innovations for this exquisite art form.
